Cynthia Todd one of five Tiger Hall of Fame inductees

Cynthia Lynn Todd was just one standout athlete of a handful who will be inducted into the Tiger Hall of Fame in just a few short weeks.  Each year the Gregg Williams Foundation receives nominations for the hall of fame, then choose four individuals and one team to receive the award.  The Standard has been covering this year’s inductees and so far printed information about the 2003 Tiger state champion golf team, head golf coach Bill Greim, Excelsior Springs High School alumnus and golf pro Tim Jarman and now, ESHS graduate and athlete Cindy Todd.

Todd, who passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida, was a member of the ESHS volleyball and basketball teams for all four years of her high school career.   She was the daughter of Roger and Betty Todd and the sister of Rick Todd. Prior to receiving a full scholarship to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to play volleyball and basketball, her sports career began at ESHS before graduating in 1980.
