Now that school is over and the votes have been cast, last week four Tiger baseball players received All-Conference awards. According to head baseball coach Aaron Holst, the awards were voted on at the end of school in Oak Grove, but not released until last week. Although State Championship games are still being played, conference award winners have been decided.
Earning Second Team All-Conference were Derek Pugh and Austin Creason. Earning Honorable Mention All-Conference were Brad Fowler and Tyler Pugh. The following are the Tiger athletes’ stats for the 2012 season.
• Derek Pugh – .342 average, .402 on base percentage, 15 runs scored, 13 RBI’s, 10 stolen bases, four doubles and two triples
• Austin Creason – .325 average, .381 on base percentage, 16 runs scored, 17 RBI’s, 11 stolen bases, six doubles, two triples and three homeruns
• Brad Fowler – .325 average, .333 on base percentage, 13 runs scored, 11 RBI’s, two doubles and one homerun
• Tyler Pugh – .397 average, .453 on base percentage, 16 runs scored, 16 RBI’s, 11 doubles and 1.98 ERA as pitcher
