Tiger pride was shining bright Friday evening, as the Tiger football players brought home their first home field win of the season against the Springfield Bulldogs.
A series of small rushes sent the Tigers down the line, and a 30-yard pass from Nick Masoner to Gabe Cordova gave the Tigers their first score of the game. The Bulldogs answered quickly, though, matching their touchdown but missing the extra point.
The Tigers went on to score three more touchdowns in the first quarter, pulling ahead to an impressive 29-6 lead.
Right off the bat going into the second quarter, Austin Creason completed a pass to Sam Webb for another touchdown.
The boys in black and gold dominated the rest of the second quarter, driving up the score to 51-14 going into halftime.
Throughout third quarter, the score remained mostly unchanged, with just a three point Tiger gain thanks to a successful field goal attempt by Austin Creason.
The last quarter of the game brought one more touchdown for the Tigers, with a final score of Tigers, 61, Bulldogs, 14.
The Tigers travel to Harrisonville this Friday to face off against the Wildcats.
