Shirley Gene Battagler, 87 of rural Orrick, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Liberty Hospital. Shirley was born on the family farm near Orrick, on October 1, 1932, to Frank and Nettie (Hessenflow) Battagler.

Mary Lou Zegers of Lawson, Missouri, died June 14, 2020 at the age of 67 years. Mary was born in West Point, Nebraska.
Mary enjoyed hiking, camping with her friends and going to the movies. Mary was a loyal honest and loving friend and devoted wife.

NBA gears up for July to resume season

With much of the country starting to reopen from the coronavirus pandemic, professional sports leagues are making their plans to return.
One league that will return soon is the NBA. Recently, players and NBA owners reached an agreement to continue the 2019-20 season.
