Mayor Sonya Morgan presented a proclamation during a recent city council meeting, recognizing May 2026 as Mental Health Awareness Month to Excelsior Springs Hospital Psychiatric Services staff member Brenda Wilzbach.

Grants sought for downtown revitalization

Excelsior Springs city officials are pursuing a proposed $750,000 state grant for downtown revitalization aimed at helping preserve historic commercial buildings while supporting tourism, economic development and long-term investment in the downtown district.
