Broadway Dames shine onstage for two more weekends

February 3, 2018 — Your favorite Broadway musical numbers come to life on stage at the Slightly Off Broadway Theatre for two more weekends.

Broadway Dames, an original music revue written and directed by Tanya Duncan, brings seven famous Broadway performers together for a fictional benefit concert in the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City. The performers share a piece of their history with the songs they sing and the shows they speak of.

The Broadway actresses are: Angela Lansbury (Jennifer Allen), Carol Channing (Kat Brintzinghoffer), Barbara Cook (Corin Cutting), Sutton Foster (Amanda Day), Patti LuPone (Carolyn Jeffrey), Ethel Merman (Jean Meachum) and Kristin Chenoweth (Kylie Phipps). There will be a surprise guest appearance portrayed by Gabriel Van Dyne. Sal DeLuca, the stage manager is played by Ryan Drew. David Camponella and Andrew Morris perform on keyboard and drums respectively.

Shows continue this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 3 and 4, and next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9 & 10. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s matinee begins at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $13. Season tickets are $40.
