Will The Standard be writing an article about why the name is being changed? I hear alot of people asking why, but have never heard the answer.

If you name it Roosevelt none of the kids in school will even know where it came from. Then in a few years they will change it again, just as they are now forgetting Terri Garbison

I think they should just continue to call the mascot Terri. It does carry some significance with it. The name could apply to either male or female mascots in the future. Roosevelt? Really? That name has no significance to the kids today nor will it have any significance to the kids of the future. If you were going to take name recommendations and a vote on this, it should have been limited to the kids…it’s their mascot.

How embarrassing if the mascot had previous name(s) and current administration doesn’t know it. Did or will someone research the history of the mascot?

The Mascots name has been Teri for 30 years and you now want to change it! I can tell you over 400 alumni are NOT going to let this stand..
