Rebuilding Together offers a hand when it’s needed

October 10, 2016 – When a homeowner needs a helping hand with work that would otherwise be unmanageable, Rebuilding Together Clay County steps in when it can.
Resident Opal Fields was concerned the guttering on her home wouldn’t last through the winter and knew she needed help. Fields and her mother, Hazel Clark, live in Excelsior Springs and their home was built in the late ‘60s. According to Fields, she was told the guttering was original to the home.
“I was at the Good Samaritan Center and they told me about Rebuilding Together. From there I had to fill out some paperwork to see if we qualified for their help,” Fields said.
