The Excelsior Springs Police Department reported the following incidents handled recently by the department:

Tuesday, March 17

3:51 p.m., 1700 block of Rainbow Blvd., Charles L Armes, WM, 77, reported his license plates stolen from his vehicle. 

11:00 p.m., Dunbar Avenue and Ley Street, Christopher M Smith Jr., WM, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Eric N Renouf, WM, 17, was arrested for possession of marijuana. Both parties were booked and released on their own recognizance with a court date. 

Wednesday, March 18

11:39 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Joshua Duncan, WM, 42 was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for assault. His bond was set at $500 cash or surety. He was booked and incarcerated. 

12:41 p.m., 1600 block of Kearney Rd., Janet Minnick, WF, 53 reported her purse had been stolen from her vehicle.
