Chappel to play golf for CMU

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Hope Chappel will be an Eagle in a few months, but she will remain a Tiger at heart. The Excelsior Springs senior has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and golf career at Central Methodist University in Fayette.

Tigers split Mexico triangular

MEXICO – Excelsior Springs played baseball for the first time since May 2019. Over the weekend, the Tigers visited faced Mexico and Marshfield in an annual triangular to start the season in Mexico.

Golf course action should have waited

The Excelsior Springs City Council’s decision to hire a private firm, Orion, to manage the city’s golf course may have been an act of genius, or not; but the timing seemed unnecessarily rushed, which naturally raises eyebrows.

Community Bank announces changes in leadership

RICHMOND – Community Bank of Missouri announced Stephanie Landwehr has been named the bank’s president and chief operating officer. Landwehr began her banking career in Richmond in 1978 after graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in accounting.
