’Cats sport new jerseys in season finale

CONCORDIA – Orrick softball fans got to see the Bearcats display their 2024 jerseys in their last game of 2023. The Bearcats wore the black jerseys with yellow letters and numbers on May 5, when they fell to Kingsville 17-1 in four innings in the Class 1 District 8 Tournament at the Concordia Ballpark Complex.
Fun, good food found at Cinco de Mayo street party

Crowds filled the streets for the first Cinco de Mayo Street Party, which featured merchants selling Mexican inspired food and drinks. Downtown Excelsior Springs Partnership (DEP) hosted the event to raise funds for the Lithia Landing Deck Project.

Undergoing medical examiners report, Bass case continued

A hearing earlier this week to set a trial date in the Keith Bass II murder trial has been continued as both the prosecution and defense are waiting on reports and results. Bass appeared in custody with his public defender, Tracy McFadin, in the case of the alleged murder of Theresa Bass, 44, and attempted murder of Bobby Neal Jr., who succumbed to his injuries on March 18.
SAFE coalition discusses new possibilities for youth
