The Excelsior Springs community gathered at the American Legion downtown to honor and remember those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military.
Excelsior Springs’ track and field season is complete. The Tigers finished their season at Class 4 state competition, held May 26-27 at Jefferson City High School.

Feasting on pulled pork and turkey provided by Wabash BBQ, along with side dishes and desserts provided by their parents, the Tigers staged their end-of-season banquet Tuesday at the high school.
June 7 marks the second annual Excelsior Springs Downtown Farmers Market, bringing locally sourced food to the community. Sponsored by Excelsior Springs Hospital and Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, the farmer’s market is returning to the intersection of Broadway Ave. and Mill Street every Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
A 40-unit, 55-plus senior affordable housing project is inching toward becoming a reality. The Flats at Coach Crossing is a housing project made possible through Missouri Housing Development Corporation (MHDC) and the only MHDC project approved in Clay County during the 2022 round of approvals.
The Excelsior Springs Hospital Board recently gathered to discuss the continuous growth of the facility, as well as other business matters. The hospital has seen exponential growth with an increase in 2,500 patients between 2020-2022 in the Emergency Room Department (ER) and has experienced an influx in pediatric patients for rehab services and psychiatric care.
