ESPD enters MoDOT Highway Safety Program

The Excelsior Springs City Council has unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the Excelsior Springs Police Department’s (ESPD) participation in the Missouri Department of Transportation Highway Safety Program. Lilly Goetz will soon experience what it’s like to wrestle in a state high school tournament. Goetz, an Excelsior Springs freshman, will compete at Class 1 state girls competition, slated for Feb.

Winter weather keeps boys hoopsters off the hardwood

The latest winter storm has suspended activity for the Excelsior Springs varsity boys basketball team. Like their girls counterparts, the Excelsior Springs boys were scheduled to face Kearney Tuesday at Excelsior Springs in Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division action.
