Girls netters prep for fall season at camp

The Excelsior Standard, June 12,2026 Carolyn Mynatt Carolyn “Sue” Mynatt, 83, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, wrapped in the warmth and love of her family. Born July 2, 1943, to Don and Bessie (Holt) Langford in Crawford County, Kan., Sue moved with her family to Lathrop as a teenager.

Most Wanted program nets five arrests

Less than three weeks after Clay County unveiled its Ten Most Wanted list, five individuals, including an Excelsior Springs resident, have already been taken into custody. The Ten Most Wanted list was introduced May 27 through a collaborative effort involving the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers and other local law enforcement agencies.
