Aspire resident reflects on 100 years
An Aspire Senior Living resident recently celebrated her 100th birthday, carrying memories of a time before paved roads and modern comforts.Mary Lou Jackson has lived through the Great Depression, dramatic technological change and generations of family milestones. With help from daughter Connie Cook, Jackson reflected on a life marked by hard work, leadership, musical talent and a sense of humor that remains intact a century later.Asked to reflect on reaching 100, Jackson offered a description, matching both her humor and perspective.“I’m a living legend,” said Jackson.Cook said her mother has long been known as an outgoing and friendly person who stayed active and involved throughout her life.
