As Minority Mental Health Awareness Month unfolds in July, advocates are urging a deeper look into the barriers that keep many African American and Hispanic individuals from getting the help they need.The month recognizes the legacy of Bebe Moore Campbell, an author and advocate who dedicated her work to breaking the silence around mental illness in minority communities, according to The Jason Foundation Senior Division Director and Education Specialist Scott Knight.
