In about five weeks, Excelsior Springs School District patrons will know the district’s tax rate for the 2022-23 school year.

During its Aug. 8 meeting at the Support Services Center, the Board of Education set the tax rate hearing for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Support Services Center, as recommended by Travis Hux, superintendent.

“This is a formality that we go through each year. … Setting the tax rate is something this school district entity has to do on an annual basis,” Hux said.
