Bond change denied for ES church volunteer in child sex case
Allegations of child sexual abuse against a church youth pastor took a significant turn after his bond request was denied.Excelsior Springs residentDonald Aaron Axtell, 37, is charged with two felonies, including second-degree statutory rape and possession of child pornography. He is also facing one misdemeanor of furnishing or attempting to furnish pornographic material to a minor.Axtell recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen Krauser for a bond-reduction hearing. During the hearing, Krauser decided not to modify his current bond.
