Bond modified in Homestead homicide case
A Homestead Village alderman accused in a deadly neighborhood shooting has now been released after the court modified his bond and approved new conditions.Glen Michael Stice, 55, is facing two felony charges, including first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He recently appeared in Ray County Circuit Court for a bond hearing before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori Baskins. During that hearing, the court modified his conditions of release, removing him from no-bond status and setting a $250,000 cash or corporate surety bond. The court ruled new and different requirements were necessary for release and documented that, after first considering non-monetary options and Stice’s ability to pay, the monetary bond and accompanying con- ditions were the “least restrictive combination” the court could impose.
