A Nebraska man has been arrested after a Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) K-9 put an end to an alleged crime spree. Reports say an elderly woman called CCSO on Feb. 2 regarding an unknown vehicle in her driveway near H Highway and Crockett Road, southwest of Excelsior Springs. The woman then reported a man got out of the vehicle and ran behind her residence. The vehicle in her driveway was determined to be stolen out of Nebraska. CCSO deputies and Excelsior Springs Police Department officers responded to the area to attempt to locate the driver and soon after, dispatchers communicated to officers that a caller had seen a man acting odd and walking on Cameron Road, according to CCSO. “As deputies were moving to that area, they got another report a truck was stolen from farmers at Cameron Road and NE 136 Street,” CCSO said.
