CCSO rescues twins after standoff
Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies rescued twin toddlers who were being held as hostages following a stand-off in Pleasant Valley earlier this week.The incident began when the Pleasant Valley Police Department received a call at 6:18 p.m. on Oct. 28 about a domestic disturbance in the 7100 block of Fulton Road.“They asked for assistance from Claycomo Police Department officers,” said CCSO Public Relations Manager Sarah Boyd. “When police got on the scene, they spoke with a woman who said her partner had assaulted her and was inside the home with a gun. She had brought some of her children outside the house with her. She was not seriously injured.”When the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Tyson S. Campbell, refused to come out, the officers requested assistance from the CCSO.
