City releases Quik Trip traffic study
Excelsior Springs officials released a traffic study conducted for Quik Trip (QT) in October 2022.
“We require traffic studies when a project can impact the surrounding area,” said Melinda Mehaffy, Excelsior Springs Economic Development Director. “A comprehensive traffic study is of immense value when undertaking a commercial project.”
The study reviewed potential traffic impacts regarding the proposed QT store on an undeveloped property located at the southeast corner of US-69 highway and McCleary and Industrial roads based on the effects of the existing roadway.
The intersection at McCleary and Industrial roads contains stop control and provides access to an existing parking lot for the plastics fabrication building.
Industrial Road will be utilized for the main entrance to the proposed QT while sharing access to the current parking lot.
