Chad Birdsong, public works director, received approval to pursue the funding by the City Council June 16 at the Hall of Waters. If approved, the city will receive the money from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, which has received ARPA money from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Birdsong explained in a June 15 memo to city leaders and reiterated before the vote.
Pending approval, the city will make storm waterrelated tweaks per the recommendations by the current study being conducted by the company Vireo and the city, Birdsong stated.
