Clay County Presidential Caucus to be held March 2
On March 2nd, Clay County will hold its Presidential Caucus to help select the next Republican nominee for the President and Vice President of the United States. The caucus replaces a Presidential Preference Primary and will be the only way Republicans in Missouri can express their presidential choice this election year.
“This is how we, as grassroots Republican voters, will make our voices heard,” said Clay County Republican Chairman Gary Smedile. “The caucus will be the first step in how the Missouri Republican Party will select and bind delegates to a candidate for the Republican National Convention.”
Caucuses will be held in every county across Missouri just days before Super Tuesday, making Missouri an important step on the campaign trail for the remaining candidates.
