Clay EDC endorses county constitution

LIBERTY – Seven Democrats and seven Republicans voted unanimously to reform Clay County government, and bipartisan groups are adding their support for the constitution plan that will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot. Two weeks ago, the Clay County Mayors voted unanimously to support the Clay County Constitution plan. Last week, the Clay County Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors also voted unanimously to support the constitution. The Northland Coalition has joined the endorsements. “We put partisan politics aside and put the best interests of Clay County citizens first in our effort to end the dysfunction of Clay County KIRK DAVIS government. We worked together gladstone city mgr. and did what was right. We proved Republicans and Democrats can work together when we agree on a common purpose,” Greg Canuteson, the group’s co-chairman and former Liberty mayor, said.
