Recognizing hard work and dedication is an essential part of building a community that values its employees. That’s why Excelsior Springs School District (ESSD) proudly announced Rachel Coe as the Classified Employee of the Month. Over the course of nine years, Coe has been an integral part of the ESSD team. Her journey began as the Food Service Manager at Elkhorn Elementary, where she managed the school’s cafeteria operations and ensured students received nutritious meals. Her dedication and hard work were recognized, leading to her promotion as the Kitchen Manager at Excelsior Springs High School. “The position was offered to me, and I knew the move was needed,” said Coe. “I didn’t want to leave my little ones, but some of them who were there before I left are now at the High School, and it’s a full circle moment.” As the Kitchen Manager, Coe’s responsibilities have extended beyond overseeing the kitchen staff and ordering supplies.
