Community event aims to prevent costly scams
Reports of large financial losses and more advanced scams are increasing in the area, leading local officials to prioritize prevention and community awareness.As part of that effort, local residents will have an opportunity to learn ways to recognize and prevent scams during a presentation hosted by the Excelsior Springs Police Department in partnership with the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.
