Community improvements approved
The Excelsior Springs City Council unanimously approved an agreement with Navitas to replace and upgrade the community center’s pool air handling system, commonly referred to as the “pool pack.”The project aims to improve the facility’s air quality and energy efficiency.Excelsior Springs Community Center Project Manager Jesse Hall presented the consideration.Under the agreement, Navitas will remove the existing system, install new equipment and complete all related electrical and mechanical work.Work is scheduled to begin in early March 2025 and be completed by the end of May 2025 to prevent disruptions during the center’s peak summer usage. The city will fund the upgrades, at a total cost of $375,000, using a combination of budgeted capital improvement funds and an energy savings financing plan.
