Cornerstone Kindergarteners thanked local veterans in honor of Veterans Day with handmade gifts, thank you cards and donated goods from family members and local businesses. In light of the holiday, all 63 kindergarten students at Cornerstone Elementary School worked together to give their thanks. Educator Linda Haskell-Sherman said there were 24 goody bags total delivered to the Clay-Ray Veterans Association in Excelsior Springs. She hopes more classrooms get involved because more than 24 veterans are in the community.
