The city of Excelsior Springs has entered a partnership with Lamp Rynearson to enhance community development and infrastructure.This collaborative contract, designed to support the city in executing current and upcoming projects, was approved in a recent city council meeting.The engineering contract was proposed by Director of Public Works Chad Birdsong for the 2025 Streetscape Maintenance Project, which will allow the city to task the consultant with additional professional engineering services on a project-specific basis by issuing a separate task order.The Streetscape Maintenance Project is funded through Transportation Trust.“Next year’s project area includes additional base repairs, chip sealing and ultrathin bonded asphalt surface (UBAS) work in various areas,” Birdsong explained. “We are following the recommendations of the Pavement Condition Index Report, which defines the direction of maintenance that we will be focusing ...
