EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The city has welcomed a new police chief, Greg Dull. Dull succeeds interim Chief Chris Weber, who stepped down Dec. 31. Dull joins the department after serving with the Township of Ocean Police Department in Monmouth County, New Jersey; and then serving 31 years in various posts with the Kansas City Police Department, where he became a major and retired. “I actually attended a couple of council meetings when I was going through the hiring process just to get a feel for the City Council and kind of … how those meetings all go,” he said Jan. 11.
