ES grad aims to make hometown proud
Excelsior Springs native Kenzlee Mc-Daniels is preparing to take her volleyball journey to the collegiate level and along the way, she hopes to make her hometown proud.McDaniels, 18, will attend Missouri Valley College this fall on a volleyball scholarship, continuing a passion she’s pursued since she was nine years old. As a defensive specialist and outside hitter, McDaniels has spent most of her life dedicated to perfecting her skills on the court, but now she’s focused on something more – representing Excelsior Springs with pride as she transitions from high school to college athletics.“She hopes to make the community proud and be a role model for her younger sister, who also loves the sport of volleyball,” said her mother, Alisha Stafford.McDaniels’ path to Missouri Valley has been a decade in the making, starting with the Excelsior Springs Volleyball Club, where she played from 10U through 14U.
