ES man accused in knife incident granted bond reduction

An Excelsior Springs man has been granted a bond reduction while facing a felony weapons charge.Jacob E. Vick is charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon. He recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen Krauser for a bond hearing. Krauser approved a reduction of his $25,00 bond to $15,000, with 10% posting allowed and GPS required before release.Vick will appear for his next hearing at 9 a.m. on March 31.According to the complaint submitted by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Alyssa Benjamin,the range of punishment for the class E felony is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term not to exceed four years; or by imprisonment for a special term not to exceed one year in the county jail or other authorized penal institution; or by a fine not to exceed $10,000; or by both imprisonment and a fine.On Feb. 18, Excelsior Springs Police Depar...
