ES man released from jail after violation charges
An Excelsior Springs man accused of showing up at a protected person’s home and flashing a handgun during an argument is out of jail after pleading not guilty to the charges.Myles Levi Casey, 28, is facing one felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon and one misdemeanor charge of violating a protection order for an adult.Casey recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen Krauser and entered a not-guilty plea to the charges.The same day, he posted a $10,000 bond and was released from Clay County Detention Center. Casey will appear next in Clay County Court at 9 a.m. on Dec. 16.According to the complaint filed by Clay County Assisting Prosecuting Attorney Angela Ravkin, punishment for the class E felony is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term of years not to exceed four years; or by imprisonment for a special term not to exceed one year i...
