The Excelsior Springs Police Department reported the following incidents handled recently by the department. TUESDAY, APRIL 28 9:33 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road, Eddie C Cockrum II, WM, 44 was arrested for driving while intoxicated and open container. He was booked and released on his own recognizance with a court date. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29 4:26 a.m., 69 Highway and Patsy Lane, Officers responded on a leaving the scene accident at the location. Officers contacted a WF 37 who advised she was struck and the other vehicle fled the scene. Investigation continues. 4:03 p.m., Wornall Road and Waller Place, Timothy M Haslet Jr., WM, 37 was issued a citation for careless and imprudent driving, no insurance, and illegal use of plates.
