ESSD stays with Incite for long-term facility plans
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The school district continues to work with Incite Design Studio on plans for district facilities.
On Oct. 11, the Board of Education approved Superintendent Travis Hux’s request to contract with Incite to develop the district’s long-term facility plan, priced at $37,000.
“As you know, we’ve done a lot of work in this district, including (building) a new elementary school and renovating other properties and so on,” Hux said. “So it’s time to update that plan, so we can decide what the next phase of work would look like. And obviously, that’s not free to do.”
Because Incite developed the district’s original plan, “it makes sense” for the firm to draft the next plan, Hux said. The work should take “minimal effort on their part to help us update it,” he said.
