Farmers Market bringing exciting changes

The time is approaching for the Excelsior Springs community to gear up and support a crucial component of the local economy. The Excelsior Springs Farmers Market (ESFM) season is just around the corner, starting in June and ending in October. This year, the market has undergone a series of noteworthy changes and improvements, in hopes of making it an even more enjoyable experience than last year. Currently, 32 vendors are signed up for the markets, 13 of which are food vendors. “The food vendors will be selling baked goods, produce, honey and meat,” said ESFM Director Tammy Murphy. “There will be a variety of vendors selling crafts such as crochet, jewelry, candles, T-shirts, cups and herbal teas. Some returning vendors include Paula, who specializes in aprons; Pleasant Valley Petals, who sell fresh flowers and Sugarcreek Soaps.” The weekly market drawings, which have been done in past years, are set to continue.
