Gillispie released on recognizance
Gary W Gillispie II, who was being held on felony drug trafficking charges, has been released on his own recognizance (ROR) following a recent bond reduction hearing.
Circuit Seven Judge Louis Angles approved the request made by public defender Kevin Garrison on Gillispie’s behalf.
Gillispie, 38, of Excelsior Springs, appeared in person and in custody for the hearing, which was held in the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in Clay County. Gillespie was being held in the Clay County Detention following his arrest on one Class B felony of trafficking drugs in the second degree charge.
Clay County prosecutors agreed to ROR with conditions due to the current jail situation and Gillispie’s charges.
Judge Angles approved the bond reduction and applied bond conditions, including: will be supervised by Northland Dependency Services (NDS); can not drive unless licensed and insured; report to NDS every two weeks; repath level 3 ele...
