EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Music was in the air May 1 for Gatsby Day, the Excelsior Springs Cultural Guild’s annual festival to raise scholarship funds. During the afternoon, musical acts performed on Broadway and Thompson. In addition, a group of bluegrass pickers jammed late in the afternoon and early in the evening outside the Hall of Waters. For the finale, the River Bend Boys and the Greg Blake Hometown Band gave a concert on the Hall of Waters steps.
