Haslett enters not guilty plea again
Due to possible technical and procedural issues with a previouslyimpaneled grand jury, Timothy Haslett was brought into the Clay County Court again on March 22 to answer to the multitude of charges facing him.
With his court-appointed attorney, Tiffany M. Leuty, representing him, Haslett once again entered a plea of not guilty in the 7th Judicial Circuit Court in Clay County. Judge Alisha Ohara accepted the plea and continued the case until 1:30 p.m. April 24.
Because of the possible issues with the jury empaneled from November 2022 until March 2023, the Clay County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office chose to use an “abundance of caution to take proactive steps to cure all indictments issued during that time,” according to Clay County Prosecuting Attorney Zachry Thompson.
