Highway Patrol completes Ray, Clay bus inspections

RICHMOND – The Missouri Highway Patrol completed annual school bus inspections in Ray and Clay counties, requiring repairs before buses are driven. The state requires bus repairs within 10 days of the inspection. In Ray County, the patrol found defects in: • One out of five buses used by the Hardin-Central C-2 School District, • One out of 26 Lawson buses, • Three out of 28 Richmond buses; and • No Orrick bus issues. In Clay County, the patrol found defects in: • No Excelsior Springs buses; • One in 20 Kearney buses, with that bus taken off line; and • Two out of 84 buses in Liberty, with both taken out service.
