EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs Historic Preservation Commission accepts nominations for their Historic Preservation Awards Program until 5 p.m. April 13.
Property owners who have improved historic properties may be nominated by anyone in the community for a commercial or residential award.
Brad and Brenda Eales in 2021 won for commercial property at 120 E. Broadway, the new Grace Wins Home and Studio; and The Loft, a short-term rental space upstairs.
Larry and Lisa Krause received a residential award for improving their residence at 403 Concourse, and Kenny Manley received an award for remodeling and restoring the house at 515 Benton Ave., now occupied.
“The Historic Preservation Commission seeks to recognize the hard work and investment of property owners whose projects improve the appearance of Historic Excelsior Springs,” Chairwoman Betty Bissell said.
