Holst announces retirement after decades of dedication
After more than three decades of dedication to the Excelsior Springs School District a longtime teacher and coach has announced his retirement at the end of the school year, marking the conclusion of a career that has influenced countless students and athletes.Aaron Holst has spent 31 years at Excelsior Springs High School (ESHS), with 25 of those years dedicated to teaching physical education and serving as the head baseball coach. In addition to leading the baseball program, he has coached middle school cross country for 13 years and various levels of boys’ basketball for 29 of his 31 years at the school.
