One of the best-kept secrets that shouldn’t be a secret in Excelsior Springs is the services of the Job Corps. At a recent SAFE meeting, staff members at Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center (ESJCC) presented information about the program to inform the public. Job Corps provides free career training and education for persons who qualify and are between the ages of 16 and 24. “Candidates must meet low-income guidelines as well,” said ESJCC Director of Outreach Admissions and Career Transition Services Tammy Harrelson. “If they qualify for free or reduced lunch, food stamps or any government assistance, they automatically qualify financially for the program.
