Judge recogs suspect in ‘largest’ drug seizure in ESPD history
A Kansas man arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled dangerous substance – in what police officers have determined to be one of the largest drug seizures in Excelsior Springs Police Department history – has been released on his own recognizance.Laughton R. Viney, 34, of Kansas City, who was arrested in Excelsior Springs after a warrant was issued, recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen L. Krause for an initial appearance.
