Judge reduces bond for ES man, burglary
An Excelsior Springs man has been granted a bond reduction amid his ongoing legal proceedings involving one felony and one misdemeanor charge.Brian E. Grayson, 49, was charged with one felony, including second-degree burglary and one misdemeanor of stealing. He recently appeared before Judge Karen L. Krauser of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court, requesting a reduction of his current bond. In considering this request, Krauser evaluated several statutory bond factors, including Grayson’s ability to pay, his likelihood of appearing in court, the safety of crime victims and witnesses, the nature of the offense, the strength of the evidence, as well as his family ties and employment status.As a result, Krauser amended Grayson’s bond from $20,000 to $10,000, allowing for 10% posting.
