After over three decades with the Excelsior Springs School District, a dedicated teacher has announced her retirement.Kathy Kimsey, the Library Media Specialist at Excelsior Springs Middle School, will retire after 31 years with the district at the end of this school year.Kimsey is currently responsible for a variety of tasks in her current role. These include managing the check-in and checkout process for students borrowing books, ensuring that books are shelved correctly and coordinating the acquisition of new books for the library collection. Additionally, Kimsey addresses technology issues, such as repairing malfunctioning devices and assisting students with internet connectivity.
