Art club unlocks creativity in Excelsior Springs
What started with a grandmother’s passion for painting now inspires a new generation of young artists in downtown Excelsior Springs.Ramsey Gantt, founder of Miss Ramsey’s Little Artist’s Club, created the program as a tribute to her grandmother, Molly Roberts, who once hosted acrylic painting classes of her own. Now held at the Molly Roberts Studio and Metaphysical, the club blends creativity, community and a whole lot of fun for children ages 6 to 12.“I created this club because my grandma used to host acrylic painting classes and I wanted to bring it back to the community,” said Gantt. “My goal is to inspire children to unlock their own creativity and imagination through the world of art.”This June, young artists have explored more than just paint and brushes.
