Local resource fair aims to connect neighbors with help

Residents looking for information about local health, family and community services will soon have the opportunity to connect with organizations from across the area during a Community Resource Fair hosted by the Thrive Excelsior Health and Wellness Task Force.The event is scheduled from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on April 13 at the Good Samaritan Center, 108 South Thompson Avenue and is free and open to the public.The fair is designed to bring together local organizations and community members in one place so residents can learn about the wide range of health and wellness resources available in and around Excelsior Springs.The Community Resource Fair is being organized by Thrive Excelsior’s Health and Wellness Task Force, one of four working committees within the community coalition focused on improving quality of life in Excelsior Springs.“Our goal in hosting this event is to help our community know about all of the great resources available to them, and to he...
