Measles detected in Clay
The Clay County Public Health Center recently confirmed a measles case in a Liberty resident who also spent time at the Kansas City International Airport Thursday, Jan. 4, and North Kansas City Hospital Jan. 5-6.
The health center noted in a recent press release individuals who may have been exposed to the diseases include:
• Anyone in Terminal B, general concourse or baggage claim on the evening of Jan. 4, 6:15 p.m. – 9 p.m. Health officials are contacting potentially exposed passengers of the specific flight.
• Anyone in North Kansas City Hospital’s Emergency Department waiting, patient processing or observation area Jan. 5 from 8:26 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
• Anyone in North Kansas City Hospital on the Second Floor Admission Unit Jan. 5 from 2:15 to 8:30 p.m.
• Anyone in North Kansas City Hospital Eighth Floor Pavilion in the Medical and Surgical Patient Unit Jan. 5 from 6:30 p.m. to Jan. 6 until 8:30 p.m.
